Large 20-inch crash cymbals are hotter than ever, with the downside being that some models lack just that little extra cutting power you need. Fortunately, that's not the case with this Sabian AAX Heavy Series crash, which not only has plenty of body but cuts through the mix like a real crash should. This is down to Sabian's Autofocus Response technology: a technique that's been specially developed for the AAX Series to give the cymbals a highly focused sound and huge attack. The added benefit is that this treatment even makes sure the cymbals filter out any unwanted overtones, leaving you with nothing but the exact sound you were looking for.
