General
While it may come as some surprise, the 2002-Series was first developed by Paiste back in 1971. Even now, they are an incredibly popular range that offers incredibly extreme crashes. Specially designed for heavier playing styles, these crashes are made from heavy weight, B8 bronze shaped by extensive grooves and hammer patterns to result in an explosive response and super-long sustain. The 2002 crashes can withstand a lot of abuse and in turn, produce more than enough volume and definition to rip through the mix. Every one of the 2002 cymbals, including the Extreme Crashes are made in Switzerland. This is the 20-inch version.
