General

Making a cymbal requires true craftsmanship. There are numerous factors that influence the sound and feel, such as material, thickness and finish. The B18TC is a high-quality, hand-crafted crash with a traditional finish, from Meinl's Byzance series. Not only does it qualify as a thin crash, but it's also made of B20-bronze, which is very durable and guarantees a great sound.

Luckily, there is nothing 'thin' about this crash's sound, which is gloriously dark and washy. The cymbal also provides excellent stick response, and thanks to its slight weight, it's easy to get this cymbal to open up. Furthermore, it has a relatively soft attack and short sustain, and it occupies a fairly narrow frequency range, making it especially well suited for more subtle, lighter styles of music and recording environments.
