NB :MXL est une marque américaine du groupe Marshall (ça vous dit quelque chose les guitaristes ?).
Marque bien connue et répandue de l'autre côté de l'Atlantique, elle propose des micros pour la plupart "Made In China" mais très inspirés de l'électronique des grandes marques allemandes et autrichiennes. Certaines des références de son catalogue se retrouvent d'ailleurs dans plusieurs grands studio US. Ses micros d'entrée de gamme sont d'ailleurs très réputés pour leur excellent rapport qualité-prix.
- Pour revenir au MXL Cube il s'agit d'une référence prévue pour la prise de son d'instruments à la réponse fréquentielle plutôt avec du grave (kick, ampli basse, tom...).
Ses atouts :
(+) : peu cher (au tarif BaxShop en tout cas) pour un excellent rendu sonore
(+) : je me répète mais excellent rendu du kick, assez gras et avec une bonne réponse dans le grave, placement à étudier près de l'event suivant le résultat souhaité.
(+) : bonne électronique, choix de composants adaptés à l'audio et bonne réalisation du circuit (contrairement à ce que laisse penser certaines photos sur d'autres sites)
(+) : fonctionne bien aussi pour d'autres instruments ou sur des voix
(+/-) : placement +/- facile du fait de la forme du micro notamment pour la prise de son de kick. Faut posséder un pied bas et si besoin ajouter une suspension, certains modèles s'adaptent sur le MXL Cube qui n'est livré qu'avec un système de support traditionnel
(-) : pas de pochette solide et matelassée fournie pour le ranger, juste un sac en tissu. Pour le prix, on ne va pas se plaindre non plus...
(-) : défaut d'usinage sur la pince fournie pour mon modèle (cassée et pièce métallique apparente). Mais on la retrouve en pièce détachée et je compte m'acheter un suspension, donc pas grave.
De volle klank die je als drummer achter het drumstel hoort wordt op tape (hard disk) gezet. Je hoort de volledige trommel. Vel en resonantie van de ketel. Zelfs zonder compressie/EQ klinkt het al heel goed.
Ik ben superblij met deze aankoop en zal hem nog heel veel gebruiken.
Ik begin alvast te sparen voor een volgende!
