For some applications, you need a laptop as well as some rack equipment (a recorder or a microphone preamplifier that takes up two rack units, for instance). Ideally, you'd like to transport that gear in a stylish case. Fortunately you can, thanks to SKB, an American company that is known for their elegant, rugged cases. The SKB 1SKB19-RSF2U Studio Flyer is a high-grade portable 2U rack and laptop combo case that has been roto-moulded and is so strong that SKB feels confident enough to extend a 30-year warranty for it.
Qualities of the Studio Flyer
The 1SKB19-RSF2U Studio Flyer offers two units of 19-inch rack space, and has an innovative cleat system that allows you to secure a laptop as well. If you often travel abroad, you'll be happy to know that the case's locking latch has been TSA-approved, which means airline security are able to open and close the case for inspection without damaging it. To make transporting the case as comfortable as possible, SKB has equipped it with rubber-lined handles, as well as a pull-out handle and built-in wheels that turn it into a trolley.

They're made of ABS which is a material known for its toughness and the cases come in different heights and depths. In addition, there's now a handy mixer case and a microphone case available too.
