The Yellow Comp from Mooer Audio is an optical compressor that gives your guitar sound a classic rounded attack and a balanced decay. Unlike many other compression pedals on the market, the Yellow Comp doesn't compromise the sound of your electric guitar. With the Comp knob you can control the amount of compression, while the volume knob controls the overall level of the effect. An EQ knob lets you fine tune the subtle sound this Mooer stomp box produces.
Mooer Yellow Comp: natural, diverse and very affordable
When the EQ control is set to 12 o'clock, the high and low frequencies are perfectly balanced. Turning the EQ control fully to the left emphasises the lows, while turning it fully to the right emphasises the highs. If you're looking for a natural sounding compression stomp box with a diverse sound palette, then the compact Mooer compressor would make a very affordable addition to your pedal board.
Mooer Micro Series
The ambitious Mooer company is making quite a name for itself, offering a diverse range of musical products with a very pleasant price tag. Mooer is already renowned for their popular, compact Micro Series effects, which take up very little room on your pedal board. The series comprises about 40 pedals that include effects such as modulation, equalizing, distortion and reverb. Legendary musician John Cale (The Velvet Underground) is just one of the many advocates for the Mooer Audio Company.

Vroeger altijd een Boss CS3 gehad, maar die deed het voor mij net niet.
Je cleans krijgen wat leven, wat meer definitie en helderheid, maar ook in combinatie met mijn overdrives is dit eigenlijk een always-on pedaaltje.
Niet eens zozeer omdat het nodig is, want de comp control komt bij mij niet voorbij 9 uur, wat voor een lekkere country/bluegrass/americana sound wel aan te raden is, maar het speelt net even wat "makkelijker", meer sustain en net even wat meer spank.
Dikke aanrader!
Kan heel weinig compressie geven tot belachelijk veel, en de tonecontrol geeft een wijde range van donker tot heel 'bright'. Van het moment dat ik hem gekocht heb staat hij eigenlijk de hele tijd aan.
In combinatie met andere gain-pedalen is er wel een heleboel ruis te horen, maar dat is wel een logisch nadeel van compressie.
Iets waar ik nog problemen mee heb is als ik hem aan/uit zet is dat ik perongeluk tegen mijn compressiecontrol duw met mijn voet, wat soms wel voor problemen zorgt.
Buiten die dingen is het gewoon een toppedaal, en al zeker voor deze prijs!
Zocht eigenlijk alleen een compressor om een bepaald nummer te kunnen spelen wat grotendeels clean is en waarbij ik het zonder compressor niet voor mekaar kreeg om het allemaal een beetje op hetzelfde niveau te houden.
Probeerde deze Yellow Comp en die deed wat ik wilde. Inmiddels ben ik 'm veel meer gaan gebruiken.
De meeste cleane partijen zit inmiddels standaard compressie op. Sommige rocksounds zijn combinatie van Yellow Comp en OCD. Lekker dik zonder gelijk 'metal' te zijn. Ik zou niet meer zonder willen, terwijl ik eerder een fel tegenstander van compressie was. Maar dat was pure onwetendheid.
Deze doet wat ik wil en ik overweeg om een mini bordje te maken waar de Yellow Comp ook op MOET!
