General

The Forest Green Compressor Factory by Mad Professor is a quality effect pedal with a great price to quality ratio. This stomp box offers a high-quality compression for guitars and bass guitars. As it is a factory-made pedal, the Forest Green is still very affordable. Thanks to a minimum of distortion and noise, Mad Professor offers us a clear sound with wide dynamic options.

Mad Professor Forest Green Compressor Factory: compressor and sustainer

The Forest Green Compressor is actually two effects - you can switch between compressor and sustainer. In sustainer mode, you can depend on a sound that is rich in sustain while keeping the response and attack highly accurate. At lower settings of the compression mode, extreme peaks in the guitar's sound are evened out. If you turn up the compression control, more compression is added and you have a constant level, regardless of the attack. This allows for added playing comfort as you don't need to play so hard.

The Tone on the Forest Green Compressor

The knob labelled Tone is specially developed to keep the tone of this Mad Professor compressor clear. When you turn this potentiometer to the right, the highest frequencies are limited. Are you looking for a defined sound with tight bass? You can have it by pointing the control up. The Forest Green is excellently suited for blues guitarists who like to break out the slide every now and again, however, it is also capable of producing a sweet tone for guitarists who like to play creamy leads.
