General

The Warden V2 from Earthquaker Devices is an optical compressor in stompbox form that boasts the kind of high-quality sounds you typically find in studio rack units only. While simply powered using a standard 9V power supply (not included), the voltage gets converted to 18 Volts internally for superior tone. From subtle compression to all the way to a fast and brutal version with attitude, the fitted Ratio, Attack and Release control let you send your sound in any direction before you set the sustain using the matching control pot. Finally, the end result can be formed using the Tone control while the volume of the effect can be dialled in using the Level pot. There you have it: six powerful controls to safeguard and supervise every aspect of your sound.
