Ampeg’s Opto Comp Analog Optical Compressor gives guitarists and bassists smooth, vintage-style compression when they add it to their effects chain. As well as adding headroom and improving the sustain, subtle compression can be used to control peaks, while extreme settings can give you a more unique sound. The Opto Comp has a robust metal chassis and is easy to use.
