A direct response to worldwide user feedback, the Darkglass Microtubes 500 Combo bass amplifier mashes up the supreme sound quality and portability that the Finnish amp-builders are so famous for. The custom Eminence speakers mounted inside this stomper are driven by an efficient Class-D amplifier with a 500 Watt output, making this M Combo Series amplifier a solid choice for bassists looking for sound with a warmer, more analogue character and a model that will reliably back them up on stage, in the rehearsal space and in the studio.

The Darkglass Microtubes 500 Combo: All the Comforts

To support home practice sessions, Darkglass has fitted the Microtubes 500 Combo with a headphone output complete with speaker simulation, putting high-grade sound directly in your ears but without disturbing the neighbours. Thanks to the passive/active switch, this amp can also be adapted to accommodate your specific bass model, so you can avoid the less tasteful distortion caused by the too-powerful signal of some active basses. But, if you are in need of some distortion, simply hit the dedicated switch and up the gain.

Detailed Tone Tweaking

Open up the Drive pot to dictate the level of punch and edge added by the on-board Microtubes Engine and toggle the Off/Vintage and Microtubes/Microtubes B3K switches to select your preferred drive mode. From there, the Blend pot balances your clean signal with the overdriven signal so you're assured of articulate clarity, while a powerful four-band EQ section and built-in compression have been supplied for tweaking your tone with surgical precision.
