THR10C's VCM sound generator

During the design and development process, Yamaha pulled out all the stops to provide this amp with Virtual Circuitry Modelling technology, which results in extremely realistic sounds and simulations. It also features a varied collection of effects such as a Tape Echo effect that perfectly reproduces the sound of an analogue device. Activate your favourite settings with a flick of the wrist with the internal memory, which enables you to store five of your preferred combinations of amp settings. Finally, there is a USB port and a mini jack input for connecting the THR10C to your computer or even your mobile device.

Extended Stereo Technology and Virtual Tube Illumination

The Yamaha THR10C guitar amplifier may be compact in size, but it offers a wide, spacious audio spectrum thanks to the Extended Stereo Technology. Great little amp with great sounds all in a small lightweight package and useable anywhere with the battery option. The acoustic voice sounds better than my acoustic amp with a rich bass and more natural sound. I've still to unlock its full potential.

Bax, thanks for quick efficient delivery. I like the option to use Parcel Force. Here in the Higlands of Scotland Royal Mail is the best delivery service by far.

I bought this on a whim, having listened to clips on you tube, but well aware that these can be misleading. I know that the technology is a well trodden path now, but I've always been in two minds after buying some of these emulation type units in recent years. Sure they've been ok, but the compromises you initially settle for eventually leave you feeling short changed, wishing you had maybe decided on something else. Now I know it's early days in my journey with this amp, but after quite a few hours of using it, I cannot find a fault with it, other than wishing it had a line out, as it would sound immense live I think. I haven't tried the headphone out thru a DI box yet, so thats next, and hopefully it might work, but other than that, I am so impressed with the quality of the sound, I can't put it down. If there is a perfect tool to make you want to play, and get that "live" feeling in your front room, then this is it. It's almost impossible to get a bad sound out of it, and the EQ section for once, really works. The reverbs and delays are gorgeous, and what I feel the real test, the clean sounds, are rich and full, and just like the suggested "donor" sounds.

An absolute gem of an amp, and my favourite to date bar none!

The Blackstar Artist Series: Classic and Versatile

Monday 2 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

Blackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. The new Artist 15 and Artist 30 models both have an ISF circuit fitted and can produce the typical American 6L6 sound, as well as beloved British AC clean and crunch.

Now however, the time is ripe for VOX to introduce another series that, rather than show another slow and steady improvement, offer something more like evolution accelerated. Meet the VT20X, the VT40X and the VT100X, the first three models from the new series.
