VOX VX50 GTV Guitar Combo Amplifier
Product no: 9000-0049-2434 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

While its bite-sized appearance probably has you thinking otherwise, the Vox VX50 GTV is actually a superbly flexible 50-Watt guitar amplifier packing plenty of bass and forceful projection, which is mainly down to the closed ABS construction and specially-designed bass reflex port. The VX50 comes loaded with eleven amplifier sounds to choose from, and the VOX-developed Virtual Element Technology adds another ten legendary amps and a line setting for the amplification of, say, an acoustic guitar.

The VX50 GTV: More Atmosphere, Memory and Connections

Vox have also built eight different effects into the VX50 GTV so you can spice up your sound. Since there are separate modulation and delay/reverb sections, two effects can even be dropped in at the same time and, using the Tap switch, the tempo of the delay can be set in a heartbeat. Plug in a footswitch like the VFS5 (not included) and you get another eight preset memory slots to prepare you for stage performances. Just make sure you don't forget to tune up first using the built-in tuner! For practice at home, there's a headphone jack as well as a line output with speaker emulation, and if you'd like to play along to your favourite tune or a backing track, you can simply plug your playback device into the AUX input. Finally, to push the parameters of the built-in effects beyond their default settings, hook the VX50 GTX up to your computer via the USB port and use the VOX Tone Room editing software to experiment at will.

The Blackstar Artist Series: Classic and Versatile

Monday 2 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

Blackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. The new Artist 15 and Artist 30 models both have an ISF circuit fitted and can produce the typical American 6L6 sound, as well as beloved British AC clean and crunch.

The VOX VTX Series - Evolution Accelerated

Wednesday 4 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

It's already been more than 10 years since VOX turned the amplifier world on its head with the Valvetronix series. This series of amps combined digital modelling technology with convincing tube sounds. Since then, models have slowly but steadily improved along with digital technology. Now however, the time is ripe for VOX to introduce another series that, rather than show another slow and steady improvement, offer something more like evolution accelerated. Meet the VT20X, the VT40X and the VT100X, the first three models from the new series.
