General
At the beginning of this century, VOX introduced its Valvetronix technology which combined digital modelling with a warm and convincing tube sound. It did this by placing a tube in the preamplifier. Since then digital modelling technology has continued to improve, as have the Valvetronix amplifiers. The VTX series, however, represents a significant leap forward, as this 40-Watt VT40X amp will testify. The renowned Valvetronix circuit is retained while the modelling technology has been vastly improved. Just like its predecessor, the VOX VT30X is ahead of its time. Sound is delivered via a VOX developed 10-inch speaker.
Lasting Appeal
The VOX VT40 is much more than just a practice amp. It's perfect for guitarists who are still trying to find their own sound. Despite the many possibilities, operating the amp is intuitive and it shouldn't take you long to find the sound you're looking for while discovering plenty more on the way. From American clean and crunch to a typical British sound to high gain metal, it's all possible with the VOX VT 40X. There are 8 different effects, as well as 4 reverb types onboard. The great thing is that by using the available Tone Room software to dive deep into the settings, the VT40X can grow with you. With 40 Watts of power, you should have enough volume for rehearsals or small gigs.
An Evolutionary Leap
VOX have revolutionised the guitar amp world with its Valvetronix technology in a hybrid amp that combines analogue design (with a tube in the preamp) with the latest digital modelling technology. This resulted in amplifiers that sounded realistic and warm and started a trend that many manufacturers followed. They quickly realised, however, that there was more to it than just placing a tube in the preamp. While VOX's Valvetronix amplifiers went on to become extremely popular, many manufacturers simply stopped producing hybrid amps. The VOX VTX series still has retained their renowned Valvetronix circuit and completely overhauled the modelling technology to incorporate the latest advances. With the new VTX series VOX is once again ahead of the competition.

Fast Delivery, Great Packaging, Great Product!
This amp has everything you can ask for including the VOX Quality
The VOX VTX Series - Evolution Accelerated
Wednesday 4 November 2015 By Richard | Bax MusicIt's already been more than 10 years since VOX turned the amplifier world on its head with the Valvetronix series. This series of amps combined digital modelling technology with convincing tube sounds. Since then, models have slowly but steadily improved along with digital technology. Now however, the time is ripe for VOX to introduce another series that, rather than show another slow and steady improvement, offer something more like evolution accelerated. Meet the VT20X, the VT40X and the VT100X, the first three models from the new series.

Monday 2 November 2015 By Richard | Bax MusicBlackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. The new Artist 15 and Artist 30 models both have an ISF circuit fitted and can produce the typical American 6L6 sound, as well as beloved British AC clean and crunch.
