General

Coated in eye-catching red, the VHT Redline 40R is a 40W transistor combo that's ready to deliver satisfying vintage tone. It's got a real spring reverb effect and a vintage-voiced 3-band EQ on board and comes loaded with four gain modes so you can toggle overdrive or modern high-gain sound at will. The single 10-inch VHT Special Design speaker is powerful enough to cover small gigs and players even have the option of hooking up an extra speaker cabinet for even more powerful projection.

Blackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. Mesa has continued their glorious tradition by using four EL-84 power tubes in the amplifier, contrary to the earlier Mark Five Twenty-Five, that had to manage with 'only' two. This amp, preceded by the Nomad, Mini Rectifier Twenty-Five and the Caliber, has been released onto Mesa's mini platform in a combo as well as a head version.
