General

For additional power and bass response on stage, Roland offer this 80W edition of the Cube GX modelling guitar amplifier. The Roland Cube-80GX is equipped with a 12-inch speaker and, despite its moderate size, is powerful enough for live performances with a full band. This versatile combo offers a wide range of COSM amplifier sounds, as well as various high-grade digital effects. A specifically remarkable feature is the built-in i-Cube Link interface for iOS devices. Additionally, the Cube-80GX is equipped with a Bright function for the JS Clean channel and a Presence controller next to the 3-band EQ.

Roland Cube-80GX: versatile COSM sounds

The Cube-80GX is equipped with three independent channels. The JC Clean channel has been modelled after Roland's renowned JC-120 Jazz Chorus. The Lead channel offers you ten high-grade COSM amplifier models, from acoustic sim, black panel and brit combo, to metal stack, r-fier and extreme. Channel three, Solo, can be freely programmed with the settings of the first two channels, including EQ and effects. The optional BOSS FS-5U or FS-6 foot switch and/or the Roland GA-FC foot controller allow you to switch between channels and to activate effects hands-free. The GA-FC also offers you the possibility to connect expression pedals for input and master volume control.

Three independent effect sections

Add an additional dimension to your guitar sound with a selection of high-grade built-in digital effects. The Cube-80GX offers three effect sections, consisting of modulation, delay and reverb effects. The EFX knob allows you to choose from chorus, flanger, phaser and tremolo effects, or heavy octave. Select a warm or a clear delay and adjust its speed by means of the TAP tempo button. Finally, add some vintage-style spring reverb or a studio-type plate reverb to your liking. A built-in chromatic tuner function allows you to keep your guitar optimally tuned at all times.

i-Cube Link and Cube Jam app

A new feature for the Cube series is Roland's i-Cube Link connector, which also serves as an AUX input so you can play along with your favourite music or backing tracks. This mini jack connector allows you to connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch by means of the accessory interface cable. As such, it is possible to use your favourite music or recording apps. The free Cube Jam app offers everything you need to jam, to record and to develop your skills. Play along with songs, filter out the solo track, lower the tempo without changing the pitch or record your jams with one simple push of a button. Additionally, you can mix your recording and export the result to a 16-bit, 44.1kHz WAV file.

Roland Cube-80GX 1x 12-inch 80W modelling guitar amplifier combo
Wrote the following about Roland Cube-80GX 1x 12-inch 80W modelling guitar amplifier combo
Hallo

The Blackstar Artist Series: Classic and Versatile

Monday 2 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

Blackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. The new Artist 15 and Artist 30 models both have an ISF circuit fitted and can produce the typical American 6L6 sound, as well as beloved British AC clean and crunch.
