General
Guitar amp combos are becoming ever more innovative and Roland's Blues Cube Hot British EL84 Modified is a prime example. This 30-watt transistor amp produces classic British EL84 sounds from the beginning of the sixties up to the present day. It's equipped with a 12-inch speaker that has been specially designed to work with Roland's Tube Logic.
Blues Cube Hot British EL84 Modified: for serious shredding
Just like traditional tube amp combos, this amp has a single channel. At lower volume levels it produces a clean sound with tube-like fullness and bite, and as you turn it up, the level of crunch increases, giving you a sound that's excellent for some serious shredding. There's also a built-in boost switch that adds even more gain and thickness to your sound. With the power control switch, you can change the output of this 30-watt amp to 15, 5 or even 0.5 watts. That means you can still get plenty of crunch at a much lower volume level.
Tone and reverb
With the 3-band EQ, you can shape your sound, and if you want to add more sparkle, there's a separate tone button. The Blues Cube Hot British EL84 Modified also has built-in reverb that can be adjusted via the dedicated control knob. The tone and the boost functionality can be controlled via a separately-available foot switch. If you're a fan of classic British EL84 sounds, then the Blues Cube Hot British EL84 Modified amp combo is an excellent choice.
