General

The Orange Crush CR120C is a powerful, rugged guitar amplifier combo by Orange. The amp manufacturer took their time to carefully construct this powerful amplifier, only presenting it to the world when they were fully satisfied with its sound. With two 12-inch speakers and 120 watts of power, this two-channel analogue amplifier is an excellent successor to the amplifiers from the Rockerverb series. Of course, this top-quality amplifier features an authentic Orange Tolex finish, woven speaker grille, stylish logo and a control panel covered with their famous hieroglyphics.

Orange Crush CR120C guitar amplifier combo: with digital reverb

The Orange CR120C guitar amplifier combo has two channels: Clean and Dirty. The Dirty channel uses a circuit with four phases gain and a three-band equalizer - providing guitarists with a wide range of overdrives and distortion. The Clean channel is founded on a two-band equalizer, in two phases, and produces a warm, clean sound that gets a ragged edge at higher volumes, just like on the Rockerverb amplifiers. Additionally, foot pedals can be connected to the effects loop to apply the many variations to the overall sound. For even more atmosphere, a digital reverb (offering a choice of spring, hall and plate) can be added to the guitar sound.

Speakers

This 120-watt guitar amplifier by Orange has an 18mm-thick wooden housing and two 12-inch (16 ohms Voice of the World) speakers of top quality, both in construction as in sound. The CR120C produces the clear, warm and idiosyncratic Orange sound that many guitarists around the world know and love.

The Blackstar Artist Series: Classic and Versatile

Monday 2 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

Blackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. The new Artist 15 and Artist 30 models both have an ISF circuit fitted and can produce the typical American 6L6 sound, as well as beloved British AC clean and crunch.

Now however, the time is ripe for VOX to introduce another series that, rather than show another slow and steady improvement, offer something more like evolution accelerated. Meet the VT20X, the VT40X and the VT100X, the first three models from the new series.
