General

The MG101CFX is an amplifier that allows you to do many things. Whether you're an amateur or an advanced player, this 100W amplifier has everything you need for practising, experimenting or on-stage performance. It allows you to connect your headphones, MP3 player, additional speakers and an FX loop if you have your own pedals.

The colourful MG101CFX

Describing the timbre of the MG101CFX is quite a challenge as it has many modelling options. There are two knobs to switch between four channels (two per knob), one switches between sparkling cleans or crunchy sounds and the other is for the overdrive channels - one even wilder than the other. Additionally, there's a 3-band equalizer.

Jam along to your favourite music!

With 100-watts of power and a 12-inch speaker, this is a great amplifier combo to monitor yourself on stage. Thanks to its clever stand, it is also great for smaller gigs without a PA system. You will also enjoy the MG101CFX in front of your imaginary audience, as it also sounds great at lower volume and as it allows you to connect your MP3 player or other music player via the 3.5mm aux input.

Endless experimenting

The MG101CFX has an incredibly expansive range of effect options. You can choose from four different channels for the timbre, and expand on their sound with a gain control and 3-band equalizer. Additionally, you can drench the sound in one of these popular effects: chorus, phaser, flanger, vibe and octave. Naturally, this amplifier combo is equipped with an effect delay that is available in a Hi-Fi, a tape, a multi and a reverse variety. Should you want more options still, you can always plug in your own external effects.

Marshall MG101CFX 100W 1x12-inch guitar amplifier combo with effects
Wrote the following about Marshall MG101CFX 100W 1x12-inch guitar amplifier combo with effects
Helemaal TOP!

The Blackstar Artist Series: Classic and Versatile

Monday 2 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

Blackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. The new Artist 15 and Artist 30 models both have an ISF circuit fitted and can produce the typical American 6L6 sound, as well as beloved British AC clean and crunch.

The VOX VTX Series - Evolution Accelerated

Wednesday 4 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

It's already been more than 10 years since VOX turned the amplifier world on its head with the Valvetronix series. This series of amps combined digital modelling technology with convincing tube sounds. Since then, models have slowly but steadily improved along with digital technology. Now however, the time is ripe for VOX to introduce another series that, rather than show another slow and steady improvement, offer something more like evolution accelerated. Meet the VT20X, the VT40X and the VT100X, the first three models from the new series.
