General

With their The Edge Deluxe Artist Signature guitar amp, Fender puts the sound of the famous U2 guitarist at your disposal. This little 12W monster is a fixture in The Edge's multi-amp setup, both on tour and in the studio, to help him create his own unique sound. At its core, this tube amp combo in Lacquered Tweed is a '57 Deluxe with a rectifier, but completely hand-wired to suit David 'The Edge' Evans' specifications.

Fender The Edge Deluxe tube amp: Extremely dynamic

The Edge's wish for a simple, highly dynamic amplifier for clean and crunch with a more focused low end resulted in this unique Fender Signature amp. It features updated circuitry that reacts accurately to any changes in dynamics. It reacts immediately if you vary the intensity of your playing, and it even responds to changes in signal strength, if you turn down the volume on your guitar, for instance.

6V6 Power amp tubes

The 12" Celestion Blue speaker, in particular, plays an important role in creating The Edge's sound. It provides silky-smooth attack with warm lows, mellow mids and bell-like highs, resulting in a rich and well-defined sound that is complemented brilliantly by the compression of the two 6V6 power amp tubes. Finally, this is a very pedal-friendly amp, so it offers an excellent base for building up The Edge's sound, or, of course, your own unique brand of awesome.

Blackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. Mesa Boogie now introduces, alongside the Mark Five Twenty-Five, the Mark Five Thirty-Five! Mesa has continued their glorious tradition by using four EL-84 power tubes in the amplifier, contrary to the earlier Mark Five Twenty-Five, that had to manage with 'only' two. This amp, preceded by the Nomad, Mini Rectifier Twenty-Five and the Caliber, has been released onto Mesa's mini platform in a combo as well as a head version.
