General

This special version of the famous Fender Bassman amp is a strictly limited edition. The Blondeman version has a Nubtex vinyl covering and an Oxblood speaker cloth. A metal plate on the back indicates that this model is a limited edition. Fender's Factory Special Run has reissued the most sought after version of the Bassman, the model from 1959.

FSR 59 Bassman Blondeman: broken-in sound

The Fender Bassman was originally designed as a bass amp, but found popularity among guitarists in the '60s and '70s who loved its full and dynamic sound. The four 10-inch Jensen Special Design P10R-F alnico speakers in this 45-watt amp produce a broken-in sound that normally takes years of use to get. You'll recognise the legendary Fender tube sound with its warm articulate highs and roaring crunch that is heard on so many recordings. The famous crunch is found on channel 1, while channel 2 (-6dB) gives you the sparkling clean.

Dynamic and ideal for effects

The heart of the '59 Bassman has three 12AX7 tubes in the preamp and two 6L6 tubes in the power amp. These give the amplifier its iconic warm sound that delivers satisfying distortion when you crank up the volume. The tubes also give the amp good dynamic properties that react to the nuances in your playing style and deliver different sounds depending on your attack. With its solid sound and ease of use, the '59 Bassman is a great amp to use in combination with effects pedals. All in all, you'll be able to get the sound you're looking for using this amp.

Fender Introduces Upgraded Mandolins!

Fender recently announced a number of new mandolins: the Concert Tone Mando Pack , Concert Tone FM52E , Concert Tone FM53S , Concert Tone FM63S and the Concert Tone FM63SE . The 53 series features the well-known classic teardrop shape, while the 63 series consists of gorgeous Baroque style mandolins. Furthermore, the E at the end of certain type numbers stands for 'electric', which means that besides the fully acoustic models, there are also electrical models available.
