General

The Fender Bassbreaker 30R is a 1x12 tube guitar amplifier combo that's based on the popular Bassbreaker 15, but has a few extras of its own on board as well. There are two channels giving you the choice between crystal-clear, clean tones or heavy overdrive and each channel has its own tone control. To add more depth to your sound you can make use of the built-in hall reverb and thanks to the FX loop, you can easily add external effects pedals too.

Bassbreaker 30R: Professional Tube Sound

This Fender amp is equipped with no fewer than four EL84 power amp tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. The Celestion G12V-70 speaker is responsible for handling the 30 Watts of power this tube combo is capable of producing. It has an excellent response which means you'll hear all of the nuances in your playing. If you're looking for a great tube amp for stage or studio use, Fender's Bassbreaker 30R is great for either situation.

Fender Bassbreaker 30R Combo Tube Guitar Amplifier, 1x12
Wrote the following about Fender Bassbreaker 30R Combo Tube Guitar Amplifier, 1x12

The Blackstar Artist Series: Classic and Versatile

Monday 2 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

Blackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. The new Artist 15 and Artist 30 models both have an ISF circuit fitted and can produce the typical American 6L6 sound, as well as beloved British AC clean and crunch.

It's already been more than 10 years since VOX turned the amplifier world on its head with the Valvetronix series. This series of amps combined digital modelling technology with convincing tube sounds. Since then, models have slowly but steadily improved along with digital technology. Now however, the time is ripe for VOX to introduce another series that, rather than show another slow and steady improvement, offer something more like evolution accelerated. Meet the VT20X, the VT40X and the VT100X, the first three models from the new series.

Wednesday 20 January 2016 By Lizanne

Renowned instrument colossus Roland first introduced their Blues Cube amplifiers back in the 1990's. The idea was simply to program a transistor amp to sound like a tube amp.
