The Fender 1x 12 inch 65 Princeton Reverb combo valve amplifier has been given the deluxe, limited edition treatment. This reissued classic comes dressed in blonde, finished with an oxblood grille, and houses a 12 inch P12Q Jenson speaker that shapes a lush, warm, and fully adaptable sound that can be wetted up vintage-style using Fender's own built-in long-spring reverb. Renowned for its ability to fit any genre there's ever been, the powerful voice of the Princeton Reverb hits all the marks, and will serve just as comfortably during gigs and studio sessions as it does in the rehearsal room.
The Fender 65 Princeton Reverb: Valve Selection
The tonal range of the Fender 65 Princeton Reverb has a lot to do with the valve selection. To start, you get a set of three 12AX7 and a 12AT7 in the preamp section, while a sweet pair of 6V6 valves sit in the power amp. Using the clear and solid set of pots lined up along the control panel, those famous Fender cleans and reverbs can be carved out with ease, and to expand the rig for bigger stages, a speaker output has been included around the back.
