General

Boosting the ability of the standard edition Katana 50, the Katana-50 MkII EX is a mega-compact 50 Watt combo guitar amp that comes fully prepped for the stage. Compatible with both the Boss GA-FC and Boss GA-FC EX footswitches (neither included), the onboard settings and effects of this mighty little amplifier can be toggled hands-free and in real-time during the show, and since a line-output complete with speaker cabinet emulation has been fitted around the back, it can be directly hooked up to the PA system for the ideal front-of-house mix. With the EX-edition, you can even link up a second Katana MkII amplifier and gain the bigger and wider sound of the included Stereo Expand function.

The Boss Katana-50 MkII EX: An Uber-Complete Guitar Amplifier

For a start, the Boss Katana-50 MkII EX serves up five different amplification profiles: Clean, Crunch, Lead, Brown and Acoustic. Each profile features a further five variations, immediately setting you up with a massive spectrum of possible sounds to play with. Next to that, five independent effect sections are supplied: Booster, Mid, FX, Delay and Reverb, each with three selectable variations. Of course, this is just the tip of the sonic iceberg, because as soon as you start experimenting with the free Boss Tone Studio software you're able to hammer, mould and tweak your custom sounds in minute detail. Polished off with a plethora of connection options, this Katana offering is an outstanding bit of kit, whether you're working on the stage or even in the studio.

Uitstekende versterker. Voldoet aan de verwachtingen. Heb later de Boss GA-FC erbij aangeschaft. Zeer tevreden met de aanschaf ervan. De recensies zijn ook goed.
Echt een topversterker.

Wrote the following about Boss Katana-50 MkII EX 50W 1x12-inch Combo Guitar Amplifier
Een tip: kijk de video "How to choose the right Katana MKII for you" van TheGuitarGeek op Youtube. Dat kan je zeker helpen bij je keuze.

De veelzijdigheid en kwaliteit van de Katana-50 MkII EX overtreft tot nu toe al mijn verwachtingen!

The Blackstar Artist Series: Classic and Versatile

Monday 2 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

Blackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. The new Artist 15 and Artist 30 models both have an ISF circuit fitted and can produce the typical American 6L6 sound, as well as beloved British AC clean and crunch.

The VOX VTX Series - Evolution Accelerated

Wednesday 4 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

It's already been more than 10 years since VOX turned the amplifier world on its head with the Valvetronix series. This series of amps combined digital modelling technology with convincing tube sounds. Since then, models have slowly but steadily improved along with digital technology. Now however, the time is ripe for VOX to introduce another series that, rather than show another slow and steady improvement, offer something more like evolution accelerated. Meet the VT20X, the VT40X and the VT100X, the first three models from the new series.

Wednesday 20 January 2016 By Lizanne

Renowned instrument colossus Roland first introduced their Blues Cube amplifiers back in the 1990's. The idea was simply to program a transistor amp to sound like a tube amp.
