General

The Blackstar ID:260TVP is designed to give you maximum flexibility and programmability. This 2x12 guitar amplifier combo makes use of Blackstar's revolutionary TVP, LOUD as Valve technology. It offers you 6 channels: Clean Warm, Clean Bright, Crunch, Super Crunch, OD1 and OD2. With the unique ISF knob, you can switch from a typical American sound to a British sound. There are 12 studio-quality effects divided into modulations, delays and reverbs. These can be saved together with sounds you create yourself in one of 128 user presets. With the optional Blackstar foot switch, or any standard MIDI-pedal, you can easily recall them at a later time.

ID:260TVP: pure tube power thanks to True Valve Power

Blackstar's TVP technology emulates the response of 6 different tube amps: the EL84, 6V6, EL34, KT66, 6L6 and the KT88. These are all an essential part of a tube amplifier's sound. It's not just the sound that's simulated though, but also the character, the distortion and the dynamics. Contrary to other modelling amps that recreate these sounds using 'transistor' volumes, the Blackstar ID:260TVP delivers the acoustic power of a similar tube amp. This way you can rest assured that you'll cut through the band's mix when you're on the stage!

Fully equipped programmable guitar amplifier combo

The Blackstar ID:260TVP even has a USB connector, allowing you to share your sounds and download new ones via the online community. You can also use the USB connector to record the sound of your amplifier directly to your computer. The amp comes with Blackstar GUI software that makes it easier for you to edit sounds in detail and then save them. An MP3/line input is also present so that you can play along with your favourite music on the ID:260TVP.

The Blackstar Artist Series: Classic and Versatile

Monday 2 November 2015 By Richard | Bax Music

Blackstar has gone from a newcomer to an established name in a short space of time. One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. The new Artist 15 and Artist 30 models both have an ISF circuit fitted and can produce the typical American 6L6 sound, as well as beloved British AC clean and crunch.

Now however, the time is ripe for VOX to introduce another series that, rather than show another slow and steady improvement, offer something more like evolution accelerated.
