General
To an electric guitarist, few things sound prettier than a 100-watt tube amplifier at full force. Do not try it at home though, at least not if you value your windows or the relation with your neighbours (even those five streets away). This is where the Blackstar HT-1 series comes in - full-valve guitar amplifiers with a power of only 1 watt. They produce the same warm sound, dynamic distortion and tube compression at volumes that are much more suitable for human ears. The HT-1R has the exact same specifications as the HT-1, plus a built-in digital reverb. All you need for rehearsals and recording, both at home or in the studio, at a very friendly price!
HT-1R: very user-friendly two-channel amplifier with reverb
The Blackstar HT-1R combo is a two channel amplifier with straightforward controls. No fringes, just volume, gain, the unique ISF equalizer function and a top-grade digital reverb effect. The gain knob lets you set the tone from sparkling cleans to a ragged compressed edge. Press the overdrive button and you can have even more distortion for the rough stuff. Additionally, the ISF button allows you to change the character of the HT-1R from American to British - from tight bass with scooped mids to an open sound with rich mids and everything in between. From Fenders and Mesas to Vox and Marshall, the Blackstar HT-1R can handle it all!
Practical connections of the HT-1R
Want to play along with your favourite music or backing tracks? Then connect your MP3 player, iPod, drum machine or laptop to the HT-1R's MP3/line input. It also has a special headphone/line output with speaker emulation, which simulates the tonal characteristics of a speaker cabinet to give you a natural-sounding distortion. It's perfect for directly connecting it to a recording device or mixer. Lastly, there's a connection on the back for an optional 8-ohm speaker cabinet, which switches the internal speaker off when you use it.

De eerste die geleverd werd moest terug omdat hij beschadigd was. Na een week ontving ik een nieuwe, die perfect was. Het geluid van de HT1r is zonder meer mooi te noemen. Ik gebruik alleen de clean met een beetje o.d. Voor in huis is het volume meer dan genoeg wat uit dat kleine kastje komt. Echter toen ik hem aansloot op een 1x12 cab, was ik verkocht, wat een geluid. Ik persoonlijk vind hem het beste klinken met een Celestion greenback, maar ook met een 70/80 klinkt hij subliem. Een goede aanwinst die makkelijk mee te nemen is. Zeker een aanrader.
En toch het echte buizen geluid wat je van een Blackstar zou verwachten.
Ik had geen ervaring met buizenversters (heb alleen een gewoner grote 60W versterker, maar die paste niet in het kastje). Dit past perfect, maar belangrijker: wat een geluid! Warm en diep, maar ook fel! Mijn grote versterker kan er niet aan tippen. Leuk is de knop waarmee je de kleur van het geluid kan verstellen. Ze noemen het zelf ISF waarmee je van een Brits naar een US geluid kan gaan, dat hoor je goed en je vindt zelf je favoriete stand.
Ik speel zelf veel met koptelefoon (vanwege slapende kids) maar ook dat stelt niet teleur. Evenveel diepte bij jazzy sounds en herrie bij gewoon lekker rammen, heerlijk!
Enig minpunt is mogelijk dat er geen footswitch bij zit om van overdrive naar clean te schakelen, maar dat heb ik thuis eigenlijk niet nodig. Heb nog geen moment mijn Zoom effect pedaal erop gezet, zoveel warmte en gevoel zit er in het geluid.
Je gelooft gewoon niet dat er zulk mooi geluid uit zo'n kleine versterker kan komen, top. Zou hem direct weer kopen.
Ook klinkt dit versterkertje een stuk helderder dan mijn Fender versterker.
De hoofdtelefoon uitgang klinkt ook uitstekend, heerlijk om in de late uurtjes te spelen.
Voor dit bedrag een zeer goede versterker, vooral voor in de huiskamer, hij kan best hard, of om mee op te nemen.
Een echte aanrader dus!
Het geluid is prima, voldoet helemaal aan de verwachtingen. Ook met koptelefoon erg mooi om in de kleine uurtjes te kunnen spelen.
Ik gebruik hem met een Les Paul, alle nuances in klankkleur komen goed door. Clean geluid erg mooi en met beetje crunch erg precies af te regelen. De reverb maakt het geluid meteen een stuk beter dan droog.
Ik ben benieuwd hoelang de buizen meegaan.
Eerste indrukken: een prima geluid voor zon kleine versterker. De ingebouwde speaker klinkt wat iel, vooral als ik m net daarvoor op een 4x12 heb gehad, maar verder heel acceptabel. Maar op een Marshall 1960b 4x12 klinkt deze kleine versterker dus werkelijk fantastisch. Ik had dus ook de losse top-versie van deze versterker kunnen kopen, maar ik wilde de versterker makkelijk mee kunnen nemen. Vandaar dat het de combo is geworden.
De versterker komt het beste tot zn recht met een overstuurd geluid (licht of zware overdrive). Clean spelen op redelijk volume doet het geluid al snel vervormen. Speel je dus voornamelijk clean, dan is deze versterker misschien niet zon goede keuze (ik zou nu dan ook eerder voor de 5w-versie van deze versterker gaan). De reverb klinkt goed. Ik had alleen ervaring met een spring-reverb, maar ik vind deze digitale galm subtieler en heel bruikbaar. Over een hoofdtelefoon is het geluid ook uitstekend.
De ISF toonregeling heb ik nog niet heel erg veel mee geëxperimenteerd, maar klinkt heel acceptabel. Ik heb nog een Boss EQ pedaal liggen dat ik wil uitproberen om wat meer klankvariaties te kunnen krijgen.
