Met de 7,5% kortingsactie van Bax besteld met per ongeluk een Blackstar Acoustic extension cabinet, daarover later meer, en een adapter, al zit het versterkertje bij levering al volgepropt met 6 batterijen.
Het geluid bij eerste aanslag is bijzonder aangenaam, zeker als je de OD button niet gebruikt maar alles met de gain pot opdraait en de instructies volgt van het filmpje van Dave, hier de link; https://youtu.be/2XYAYHMBaGg
Na wat testen met een G&L Comanche met Z-coils, een Fazley Hot Rod met een humbucker, wat beiden heel leuk klinkt, kwam ik uit bij een Gibson Les Paul met P90 pickups. Ik moet zeggen, het sublieme geluid wat er met die Gibson uit het kleine Blackstar FLY3 komt is werkelijk fantastisch te noemen! Heel creamy met een subtiele “break-up” die je vaak alleen uit peperdure 2K plus buizenversterkers geperst krijgt in een idioot hard podiumvolume.
Ik ben om. Hoe ze het doen daar bij Blackstar in Engeland weet ik niet maar dit kleine ampje is een ware aanwinst, mede door zijn prachtige back to the surf green colour.
Vervolgens het eigenlijk foutief erbij gekochte Acoustic extension speakertje er eens bij aangesloten.
En, ongelooflijk, dat beige akoestische extra speakertje gaf nou juist nòg een subliemer creamtone op het al prachtige geluid uit het ampje alleen.
Mijn advies: kopen en experimenteren want dit is goed spul en nog degelijk ook daar ga je jaren plezier van hebben.

One of their greatest assets is the Infinite Shape Feature or ISF circuit (as it's otherwise known) that they developed themselves. With the ISF circuit, Blackstar managed to greatly increase the versatility of tube amplifiers without the use of digital technology. The new Artist 15 and Artist 30 models both have an ISF circuit fitted and can produce the typical American 6L6 sound, as well as beloved British AC clean and crunch.
