Meinl CL7R Claves fibreglass

Meinl's CL7R claves are made entirely of high-quality, durable fibreglass. As they’re made of fibreglass instead of the more traditional wood, these claves have a higher pitch and more volume than regular claves do. There are two ways that you can play the claves. You could strike the two claves together and produce a range of differently pitched tones, or you could use the claves as you would drum sticks, and strike them against various surfaces, such as wood, plastic, metal or even a drumhead. Claves originate from South-America, so it should be no surprise that they go well with styles from that part of the world, such as capoeira, bossa nova and salsa. However, feel free to use them in other genres as you see fit.
