The influence of guitar luthier Antonio de Torres on modern guitar building can never be overestimated. During the second half of the 19th century he was without doubt the world master of the craft and his innovations in body shape and bracing designs are still resonating today. With the Torres Signature classical guitar, Cordoba pays homage to the grandmaster. This all-solid model combines every Torres standard plus some more modern tweaks to result in the ultimate blend of the traditional and contemporary. The lightweight body bears a slim 640 millimetre depth but still packs mighty sound, supported by strong projection and supreme sustain.

Tradition Meets Technology

The solid spruce soundboard is reinforced by the same wave-formed bracing structure that Torres perfected himself in 1856. The Spanish cedar neck extends a little further into the solid rosewood body, completing the Spanish heel joint to firm up the stability and, so the action can be finely adjusted, the neck has also been fitted with a truss rod. The nitrocellulose finish coats the entire instrument and is another modern perk, since it protects the wood while allowing it to breathe, leaving the natural resonant quality untouched and completing a concert-grade guitar designed for the experienced and professional musician.
