Yamaha goes all out with their nylon-string Silent Guitars. The SL-G200N has many advantages over a traditional classical guitar. Thanks to its detachable sides, it is a lot lighter and more portable. Moreover, it's a lot thinner, giving it the same high level of playing comfort as an electric guitar. Additionally, it is home to many clever features such as the SRT system, a tuning device and even three effects: two reverbs and chorus. And, whether you want to play along with an MP3 or CD player or perform with an amp, the expansive connectivity of the SL-G200N allows for various additional options. This SL-G200N has a chic Tobacco Brown Sunburst finish.
SL-G200N: Practical and comfortable
With the SLG200, the Yamaha Design Laboratory is seeking to combine the traditional lines of a classical guitar with modern playability and features. You can detach the side, making this guitar a lot more compact and lighter than a standard classical guitar. The included luxury gig bag allows you to carry your instrument anywhere. What's more, these Yamahas are remarkably thin, allowing for the same high playing comfort as electric guitars. The solid wooden body and dual action truss rod ensure a stable, durable instrument that you can confidently bring to rehearsals and performances.
SRT Powered System
The boffins at Yamaha developed a clever system to emulate the sound of a conventional classical guitar with a guitar that has no body. In order to achieve this, the notes of a high-quality acoustic Yamaha guitar are recorded in a professional recording studio, allowing guitarists to experience the feel and tone of a traditional acoustic guitar. The sound of the SRT Powered system can even be blended with the natural tones of the piezo pickup, so that you can get properly creative when searching for new sounds. Thanks to the SRT Powered system, you no longer need a microphone for recordings or live performances.

bespeelbaarheid is zeer goed zeker met plectrum is het geluid heel helder .
met de vingers waar deze gitaar uiteindelijk voor bedoeld is is de klank van de hoge E iets minder sprankelend dan de andere snaren .
je moet daar dan iets meer energie in stoppen , verder is de lage E wat te vol maar wanneer je de bas er helemaal uit draait is het goed te doen .
al met al zeer tevreden over deze gitaar ,compact en toch een zeer compleet instrument .
- voelt en speelt precies aan als een spaanse gitaar.
- prachtig hout. Licht maar zeer robuust. Design is minimaal maar erg smaakvol. Blikvanger!
- Loepzuiver, of je nu beneden of bovenop de hals speelt.
- bediening is intuitief en zeer eenvoudig
- behalve met treble & bass potmeters kun je de klank ook meer of minder diepte geven met een potmeter die het geluid meer "pickup" of "mic" maakt. (dit moet je niet letterlijk nemen, het betreft een parameter voor de SRT)
- ingebouwde effecten (reverb en chorus) zijn sober maar precies goed - smaakvol. Geeft het geluid net een beetje extra diepte en karakter
- onversterkt ongeveer het volume van een onversterkte solid body elektrische gitaar.
- versterkt klinkt het bijna helemaal als een spaanse gitaar.
- belangrijk: ook versterkt is de gitaar "stil" in de zin van dat je gewoon geen enkel storend bijgeluid hoort - geen brom, geen zoom.
- ingebouwd stemapparaat: zeer functioneel
- kleine handigheidjes maken het fijn in het gebruik: als je in- en uitplugt gaat de gitaar ook automatisch aan (respectievelijk uit.)
- zeer compact en licht. Dit is niet alleen een voordeel bij transport maar ook bij het spelen.
Het instrument is bijna perfect, op een paar heel kleine puntjes na:
- geen batterijen meegeleverd (2x AA)
- batterijhouder is wat flimsy
- adapter voor netstroom is niet meegeleverd
- de cutout aan de onderzijde is een beetje lompt aan de frameboog vastgelijmd. Het was mooier geweest als dat uit 1 stuk hout gemaakt zou zijn
