Yamaha's SL-G200N is a practical, comfortable Silent Guitar. Thanks to clever technological feats, this model feels and sounds like a classical guitar, yet offers the playing comfort of an electric solid body. Additionally, these instruments are filled to the brim with practical functions - a tuner, two types of reverb and a chorus effect, for instance. What's more, it offers inputs for an MP3 or CD player so you can jam along to your favourite tunes. Further still, there's an output that enables you to practice in silence with a pair of headphones, or connect it to an amplifier so that everyone can enjoy the full sound of this practical Yamaha.
SL-G200N: SRT Powered
The boffins at Yamaha developed a clever system to emulate the sound of a conventional classical guitar with a guitar that has no body. In order to achieve this, the notes of a high-quality acoustic Yamaha guitar are recorded in a professional recording studio, allowing guitarists to experience the feel and tone of a traditional acoustic guitar. The sound of the SRT Powered system can even be blended with the natural tones of the piezo pickup, so that you can get properly creative when searching for new sounds. Thanks to the SRT Powered system, you no longer need a microphone for recordings or live performances.
Practical and comfortable
With the SLG200, the Yamaha Design Laboratory is seeking to combine the traditional lines of a classical guitar with modern playability and features. You can detach the side, making this guitar a lot more compact and lighter than a standard classical guitar. The included luxury gig bag allows you to carry your instrument anywhere. What's more, these Yamahas are remarkably thin, allowing for the same high playing comfort as electric guitars. The solid wooden body and dual action truss rod ensure a stable, durable instrument that you can confidently bring to rehearsals and performances.

Concept de la guitare : Moyennement satisfait. Les sensations sont très éloignées
de celles d'une guitare nylon (classique ou crossover) : bonne position difficile ou impossible à trouver, poids très élevé et instrument très "raide" (cordes sous les doigts...).
Déroutera moins quelqu'un qui vient d'une solid body.
Finition de l'instrument : Plusieurs aspérités au niveau du vernis sur l'équivalent de la table d'harmonie. Comme s'il restait de la poussière avant application du vernis.
Une aspérité également, gênante celle-là sur le manche sous la quatrième frette.
Guitare reçue un vendredi, corde de ré cassée le lundi après peut-être deux heures de jeu. C'est le "fil" qui a cassé un peu au-dessus du chevalet.
Ces petits défauts sont bien dommages, ils déprécient l'instrument pourtant fabriqué dans des matériaux de bonne qualité (et Yamaha par la même occasion).
Je n'entends pas une grande différence entre capteur piézo et SRT.
N'accepte pas les piles rechargeables. Les indique comme déchargées (et ne fonctionne plus) alors qu'elles sont
encore à 1,35 V soit chargées presque au maximum. Ne fonctionne avec que lorsqu'elles sortent
du chargeur et qu'elles sont à 1,5 V. Après deux ou trois jours d'auto-décharge, ça ne marche plus.
Handig voor het oefenen in de kleine uurtjes omdat de gitaar weinig eigen geluid maakt. Enig wat wel nog wennen is is de hals. Deze is toch breeder dan ik had verwacht, maar gewoon een kwestie van wennen denk ik.
Misschien het enige minpuntje is dat de jack uitgang veel bas heeft als de controls op het midden staan. Maar als je de bass naar beneden draait en de treble omhoog komt het allemaal goed.
