General

Are you a classical guitarist who wants to perform live or record in the studio? Then the Perez 650 Cutaway Thin E1 is an outstanding solution! This electro-acoustic guitar has an extra-thin body that makes it lighter and more comfortable than a traditional 4/4 Spanish guitar with a regular depth. Furthermore, the thinner body depth makes the guitar less sensitive to feedback on stage. The Perez 650 Cutaway Thin E1 is also equipped with high-quality Fishman electronics for an excellent amplified sound.

Thin body

Besides its 65mm depth, the body of the Perez 650 Cutaway Thin E1 has two other very important features: a cutaway and a solid cedar top. Cutaways are formed by creating a deep curve in the body next to the base of the neck, with the goal of making it easier for the guitarist to reach the higher frets. Furthermore, the cedar top that we mentioned is important because cedar is known for creating a warm, full sound with sweet trebles. In fact, cedar matches perfectly with the Indian rosewood that is used for the rest of the body, which adds a bit of extra depth to the bass and some nice sparkle to the overtones.

Equipped with Fishman electronics

A Fishman piezo pickup has been built into the guitar under the bridge to amplify the warm sound of the Perez 650 Cutaway Thin E1. In addition, there's also a Fishman Classic 4 preamplifier built in so you can fully control the amplified sound right from the guitar. The system consists of a volume control, a 3-band EQ for the lows, mids and highs, and a brilliance button for adding extra sparkle to the sound. The preamp is powered by one 9V battery that can last up to 300 hours, and the system turns on automatically when you plug in a guitar cable.

Tips or comments about this product
  • Please note: the 3rd photo illustrates the back of the Perez 650 without a cutaway. It serves only to illustrate the reinforcement strip in the neck.
  • Please note: the 4th photo shows the Fishman Prefix Pro Blend preamp. This guitar has the Fishman Classic 4 illustrated in the 6th photo.
  • Remember to take the guitar cable out of the guitar when not in use to avoid draining the battery.
  • Squeeze two clips to remove the preamplifier so you can replace the battery.

Perez 650 Cutaway Thin E1 electro-acoustic classical guitar
Wrote the following about Perez 650 Cutaway Thin E1 electro-acoustic classical guitar
