One way to amplify an acoustic guitar is to put a microphone in front of it. That works just fine, as long as you play to sit in the same place for the entire session. With the Perez 650 Cutaway E1 though, you can stand up and walk around, and still remain amplified. That's because this electro-acoustic classical guitar features a built-in pickup and a preamp from the renowned Fishman. As you can imagine, that means that this guitar is well suited for life on stage, in the studio and at home. Perez guitars are made by hand in Spain, so you know to expect an outstanding sound paired with great playability and excellent quality.
Features of the Perez 650 Cutaway E1
This nylon-string acoustic Perez guitar is a solid-top guitar with a cutaway. A cutaway is a deep cut into the body that makes it easier for you to reach and play the higher frets. The top of the Perez 650 Cutaway E1 is made of solid cedar wood, which is the solid-top portion of the guitar. The solid cedar top is important because that's where the guitar gets its remarkably full, warm sound, high volumes and fantastic sustain. Furthermore, the sides and back are crafted from Indian rosewood for deep lows and sparkling highs.
Equipped with Fishman electronics
A Fishman piezo pickup is built into the guitar under the bridge to amplify the warm sound of the Perez 650 Cutaway Thin E1. In addition, there's also a Fishman Classic 4 preamplifier built in so you can fully control the amplified sound right from the guitar. The system consists of a volume control, a 3-band EQ for the lows, mids and highs, and a brilliance button for adding extra sparkle to the sound. The preamp is powered by one 9V battery that can last up to 300 hours, and the system turns on automatically when you plug in a guitar cable.

- Remember to take the guitar cable out of the guitar when not in use to avoid draining the battery.
- Squeeze two clips to remove the preamplifier so you can replace the battery.
