If you like your cymbals to have their own unique sound and personality, then Meinl's Byzance series is definitely worth a look. All these cymbals are hand-crafted in Meinl's facility in Turkey, and are made of the durable B20 bronze alloy. This 14-inch Byzance china cymbal has a brilliant finish, which is applied by repeatedly polishing it to a shine.

That does not, however, mean that this china does not have the trademark trashy china sound. On the contrary, thanks to the smooth surface, this china has a bright, sizzling, brash sound with a trashy edge. Like any good china, the B14CH-B allows you to punctuate certain beats with loud, sharp accents. Furthermore, it has a medium sustain and thanks to its relatively small diameter, this china's sound does not have too much body. It's the perfect partner in any rock, pop or fusion-oriented drum kit.
