You might wonder why this 18" Fazley Timber China features a dark finish. That's because, next to the fact that it simply looks cool, the dark coating on this cymbal helps to keep those unwanted overtones under control. Meanwhile, the 'striping' that's been added are in fact grooves, which in turn helps to pull a quite few more high-end frequencies out of the cymbal.
The Fazley Timber China 18-inch
The unique sound the Fazley Timber China offers is perfect for heavier, darker and more industrial styles, including various sub-genres of metal and certain electronic styles. Hand-hammered and crafted using B20 bronze, this china cymbal packs medium sustain and a rather 'earthy' sound.

Voor €20 kan je het letterlijk niet beter krijgen; verrassend hoge kwaliteit voor de prijs.
Cymbaal klinkt niet alleen goed, maar ziet er ook nog goed uit.
Ik gebruik hem voornamelijk om op te riden— ik vind dat de cymbaal redelijk veel body heeft waardoor hij hier perfect voor is; ik gebruik hem echter ook als FX China wanneer ik wat 'bravere' genres speel, waarbij ik niet vind dat hij per se uit de boot valt.
Waar ik wel van ben verschoten is dat hij verrassend luid is, terwijl mijn andere cymbalen al rock/metal-cymbalen zijn. Ben van plan om er een cymbaal-demper op te kleven of er een paar grote gaten in te boren; voorlopig lukt het wel om gewoon wat zachter er op te kloppen.
