This stylish and high-quality set of Meinl Meditation Flow Chimes produce resonant tones designed to induce relaxation as part of meditation practices. Secured to nylon cord and fitted with ash wood brackets, this percussive instrument can be held while the included felt beater is drawn across the chimes. Tuned in G-major, the chimes vibrate at a calming frequency to help relax the body, making them perfect for sound therapy sessions as well as meditation. Each chime is made of corrosion-resistant aluminium, and to keep them in excellent condition, Meinl include a protective bag.

J'adore ces flow chimes. Ils ont tous un son apaisant et magnifique. Pas besoin d'être un musicien pour l'utiliser. L'étui de transport et la pièce de velours (pour enrouler le chimes avant de le mettre dans la housse) sont très pratique pour le transport ou le rangement. On peut aussi le suspendre pour en jouer. Il est très esthétique. J'aime autant ceux en noir, argent ou bronze. Le bois est en frêne. Fabriqué en Chine selon le cahier des charges de Sonic Energy (Allemagne). Qualité assurée..

Pour info concernant la notation musicale en lettre (source wiki) :

La série constituée des lettres de l'alphabet A (la), B (si), C (do ou ut), D (ré), E (mi), F (fa) et G (sol), dite, « notation batave », héritée de la Grèce antique, a été conservée par les pays dits « protestants » ou « réformés » (Royaume-Uni, Allemagne, etc.).

C'est le Dialogus de musica du début du XIe siècle, qui fixe à sept le nombre de lettres utilisées, de A à G, pour dénoter l'octave de La à Sol. La forme des lettres est variée (A à G) selon les octaves.
