General

Sela's Wave Black Makassar cajon is made of a composite material consisting of wood and plastic. Not only is it strong, but it also influences the cajon's sound giving it tight bass tones and making it more sensitive to your playing. It also gives this cajon a distinctive appearance as the look of the coating changes depending on how the light hits it.

This cajon is made in Germany and other features include ribbed sides which means it can also be played like guiro. It also has special Clap Corners, a replaceable front plate and a removable Sela Snare system. Add one of the many available accessories (shakers, bells, pedals etc.) for even more sound possibilities.

Sela dreamed up yet another fun add-on for percussionists with their Tac Tic. This simple-looking instrument is much more versatile than you might think. The Tac Tic is basically three instruments in one: a shaker, a jingle stick and a pair of castanets. You can even combine those instrument sounds.

Musikmesse 2016: New Cajons by Sela

Sela presented a number of new cajons at the annual Musikmesse trade show in Frankfurt, as well as a few existing models that have been given a makeover! Now, the popular Varios entry-level model is available with a gold front plate and it even comes in a 37cm-high miniature version, specially designed for the smallest percussionists among us. The most noteworthy of the new additions is without a doubt the CaSela Vintage series.
