To build the Primera Vintage, Sela took the best elements from the various cajons the German maker serves up and combined them into one best-of-all-worlds cajon. The playing surface, for instance, is based on the Sela Varios Series models and features an extra layer squeezed in between the outer and inner surface for rich sound full of warmth and energy. Just like the standard Sela Primera cajons, this Vintage Blue model is made of nine plies of birch.

The Sela Primera Vintage Cajon is aimed at any and all beginners so, whether you're 7 or 70, it's perfect for learning basic rhythms and playing techniques. In addition, Sela have equipped the instrument with their special snare system so the snare wires can be removed as needed, and the whole thing weighs in at less than 5kg and measures 47cm x 30cm x 30cm.
Sela dreamed up yet another fun add-on for percussionists with their Tac Tic. This simple-looking instrument is much more versatile than you might think. The Tac Tic is basically three instruments in one: a shaker, a jingle stick and a pair of castanets. You can even combine those instrument sounds.
Sela presented a number of new cajons at the annual Musikmesse trade show in Frankfurt, as well as a few existing models that have been given a makeover! Now, the popular Varios entry-level model is available with a gold front plate and it even comes in a 37cm-high miniature version, specially designed for the smallest percussionists among us. The most noteworthy of the new additions is without a doubt the CaSela Vintage series.
