As a relative of the Precise OS family, the CP5230 Urban OS Grunge Black is a real kid from the block: it's loud, intense and full of booming bass. To match its tone, Schlagwerk have even given this cajon a gritty, beautifully rugged look.
The CP5230 Urban OS Grunge Black
Just like the with the Precise OS models, the playing surface is bolted on to create a more open sound with enhanced brightness. Inside the cajon, two pairs of Precise snare wires have been installed for a rich snare sound. Play softly and they'll produce a nice and subtle sound, but add a little power and the tone turns round and full, amplified by the 8-ply birch resonance box and a raw-textured gabon playing surface.
