Schlagwerk's CP5002 Precise OS Dark Santos is a seriously ambitious string cajon with a playing surface made of high-quality veneer bolted to a birch resonance box. Because the renowned German maker of percussion instruments has strategically screwed in the bolts, the CP5002 shapes a clear and open sound supported by refined bass and crisp-sounding snares. The two Precise snares sound subtle when the cajon is played softly, but add a little force and you'll get a big, rounded sound. It's this that makes the Schlagwerk CP5002 Precise OS Dark Santos a greatly versatile instrument, while the immaculate finish of the playing surface takes responsibility for the aesthetics.
