Exclusively for the beginner cajon player, Schlagwerk have created the X-One Series cajons. Every X-One entry-level cajon has been built to keep the price as budget-friendly as possible, and to offer a seamless combo of great sound and durability. Every example has been constructed entirely from birch, by hand, in Germany, so the body is made of solid, 8-ply birch wood that's been rounded off at the edges for maximum playing comfort, while the birch playing surface has been finished with a Vintage Walnut print. Inside the box, two fixed 20-spiral-wire snare mats have been installed to ensure a crisp snare-drum style response alongside a deep and warm kick-drum-style sound. Made for the modern percussionist, this cajon could even substitute a full drum kit for more intimate, lower-volume acoustic gigs.
