General
The Meinl SC80AB Snarecraft cajon features a 7-ply Baltic birch body finished with an Almond birch playing surface fitted with two internal snare wires for a full range of authentic snare sounds. While Almond birch is only rarely used to make musical instruments, its properties are perfect for cajons since the wood shapes clear attack, retains definition and increases the dynamic range - especially when combined with a set of metal snare wires and the punch injected by a warm-sounding Baltic birch body graced with comfortable, rounded corners. Finished with stabilising rubber feet, the Meinl SC80AB cajon doesn't even shift a little while you slap up beats.
