General
Meinl is a well-known percussion brand based in Germany that is known for its innovative products. With both acoustic and amplification possibilities, this Snarecraft cajon is literally the best of both worlds! It has three piezo pickups, two that capture the snare claps and a third to capture the bass tones. Connecting to a speaker is easy by means of a standard mono jack cable. The cajon is made of birch and sounds great both acoustically and when amplified, especially for an instrument of this price. Adjust your mix of acoustic and amplified sound to perfection using the tone and volume controls on the side. It's the ideal solution for performances both live and in the studio!

Wrote the following about Meinl PSC100B
Het geluid van deze Cajon is prima. Mooi, warm, lekkere snaer maar ook goede bas. Alleen de versterk-mogelijkheid via jackplug stelt helaas diep teleur. Ik sluit hem aan op mijn uitstekende basdrum versterker van Roland PM200, maar al zet ik het geluidsniveau daarvan op maximaal, het heeft amper effect; komt via de versterker amper uit boven het geluid van het geluidsniveau van de cajon zelf. K'had dus net zo goed eentje kunnen bestellen zonder directe versterkmogelijkheid. Ik zal em voorstaan maar versterken via een microfoon ervoor, want via de directe aansluiting werkt gewoon echt niet naar wens. Jammer, want verder is 'ie prima.

De Meinl PSC100B is mijn eerste cajon, deze klinkt zeer goed zonder aan te sluiten op een versterker.
Maar eenmaal aangesloten op een mengtafel klinkt deze nog beter. Ben er zeer tevreden mee.

In de winkel hebben we verschillende cajons uitgeprobeerd. Deze Meinl sprong er voor ons bovenuit.
De cajon heeft een diep, warm bass geluid. Het snaregedeelte klinkt ook prima: scherp en vol. De cajon ziet er mooi uit en voelt stevig aan.
We hebben de cajon nog niet op de versterker aangesloten, maar het element en de knoppen ogen solide.
Helaas verkoopt Meinl geen cajonrugzak, maar de rugzak van Sela past perfect.
Kortom, we zijn zeer tevreden met onze aankopen.
