It's neither a cajon nor a bongo - it's a bit of both! The Meinl PBC1B Pickup Bongo Cajon shapes conga-style lows and highs but packs classic wooden cajon looks! Made the traditional Peruvian way, it doesn't have any snare wires so the sound stays clean and warm. What it does have, however, is a pickup. This way, you can easily jack the Bongo-Cajon into an audio interface and record its sound. So you can play it on stage, Meinl have even thoughtfully integrated a volume control.
