Meinl present the BassBoX: a cajon-like bass drum for drummers and percussionists as well as guitarists and singer-songwriters. Made of birch, the BassBoX comes including a special L-shaped beater and can be played using any standard kick pedal (not included). It doesn't take up much space and helps lay down a fat low-end.

Ik had een B-Stock exemplaar besteld van de Meinl BassBox. Het kastje zelf ziet er prima uit en klinkt waarschijnlijk ook goed. Er zat echter een verkeerde beater bij met een rechte steel in plaats van de afgebeelde kromming die noodzakelijk is om de klopper bovenop het kastje te laten neerkomen.
Bax doet z'n best om mij de goede klopper alsnog te bezorgen. Nu maar hopen dat het geen slagroomklopper wordt!
