Since playing the cajon for extended periods of time can really take a toll on your back, Meinl introduce the Slaptop Cajon. This Artisan Edition Vidalita Line model is simply placed in your lap so the body sits between your legs, giving you the same quality of sound as other Meinl cajons along with significantly increased playing comfort.

The Meinl Artisan Edition Vidalita Line Slaptop Cajon

The body of this unique cajon is made of 6mm birch plywood while the playing surface has been finished with palo santo. Add that to the eight pre-tuned snare wires and the top-side bass port, and what you get is snappy, bass-rich sound.
