Meinl's specially designed Slap Top cajon will offer you a whole new level of playing comfort. This cajon brings the playing surface closer to the percussionist, so you can play while sitting upright. Not only does this allow you a better posture while playing, but it also allows you to look out at your audience, allowing for more interaction with them during a performance.

A number of holes have been placed on the front of this cajon, which project the sound directly towards the audience, and the two built-in snare wires have been placed so that the snare sound can really shine while you play. And as a finishing touch, Meinl gave this Slap Top Cajon a beautifully dark walnut finish. The playing surface is made of walnut and the body is made of eco-friendly fibreboard. This combination of materials allows for a wide range of possible sounds. With this cajon, Meinl has proven that they can innovate. It's a must-have for any percussionist.

Meinl never fail to impress another brilliant constructed slap top Cajon which is on par with the big boys regarding where Cajons goes. The slap top is something I wanted which combines bongos,tombolas added to it with brilliant customer service from Bax music Thank you guys.

Ik gebruik diverse cajon's en dit is qua klank een hele mooie aanvulling... hij klinkt inderdaad niet als een standaard cajon, en is trouwens heel goed uit te versterken waarbij alle klanken zeer goed hoorbaar blijven.. een aanrader

Mooie Cajon met twee snare-vlakken. Ik gebruik hem bij een koor in plaats van een drumstel, en dat werkt prima.

De klank van de "kick" en de "tom" liggen ver uit elkaar, wat ik zelf erg mooi vind.

Deze cajon aangeschaft naast mijn Schlagwerk cajon la Peru. Reden: gemakkelijker bespeelbaar (geen kromme rug en voorover zitten) en heel compact.
De sound van deze Meinl Slap-Top cajon is anders dan de standaard (la Peru-)cajon in die zin dat hij een heel eigen sound heeft: een beetje richting djembee-achtige kick-sound, maar dan korter en strakker. Mooie diepte. Snaresound is helder en lekker fel.
Hij heeft verder over de gehele bovenkant (en ook de zijkanten) veel diversiteit aan geluid. Dus ook handig om afwisselender fills te slaan dan op een gewone cajon.
Speelt zeer relaxed :-)
