Meinl's CAJ3MB-M cajon is a hand percussion instrument that originates from Peru, and this model comes with a carrying bag included. This instrument consists of a naturally finished body made of rubberwood and a faceplate that's made of makah-burl. The latter has retained the natural wood grain and has been ergonomically shaped for maximum comfort. Furthermore, the edges and corners have been rounded off and on top of the cajon is a cushion. Cajons have become more popular lately, mostly because it is an ideal instrument for accompanying other musicians during small-scale performances.

Features of the cajon

When you play the cajon, you take a seat on top of it. Then you create tones by striking the frontplate with your hands and heels. Rubber feet on the bottom of the cajon prevent it from being damaged, and prevent the sound from being altered by direct contact with the floor. Inside the cajon you will find an adjustable set of snare wires that are fitted with a sizzle effect and the String Mute System, all of which you can adjust using the included Allen key. This gives you access to a wide range of different sounds.

Handy, durable carrying bag

The aforementioned Meinl carrying bag is especially designed for Meinl cajons. The whole side of the bag can be zipped open, to make inserting and removing the cajon from the bag as easy as possible. The flap features a small zipper pocket in which you can store some of your accessories. The corners of the bag are reinforced with rubber, so that they won't be damaged too easily. Besides that, this bag also has two carrying straps that can be linked together, and an adjustable shoulder strap. In short, transporting you cajon safely has never been easier.
