General

The excellent Meinl AE-CAJ9 cajon looks so good, that you might even considering buying it as a decorative piece of furniture. The Fandango cajon has been designed with optimal sound, gorgeous looks and maximum comfort in mind. Meinl put a lot of care into their search for the perfect, unique types of wood and innovative techniques for creating the best sound. The 15mm-thick body, for instance, is made of tulip poplar and carefully carved on the inside to enhance its sound.

Meinl AE-CAJ9 Artisan Edition Flamenco Cajón

Behind the distinct, ergonomically shaped Indian heartwood frontplate, you will find 16 adjustable snare wires. You can adjust the tension of these snare wires with two separate tuning screws, giving this cajon a highly dynamic sound. The AE-CAJ9 Artisan cajon also features an extra Sound Port Ring for excellently balanced compression.
