Latin Percussion LP1412 Americana 12-inch snare cajon

With the LP1412 12-inch snare cajon, Latin Percussion adds a unique instrument to their Americana series. To guarantee excellent quality, LP used hand-selected birch - a highly durable wood type with excellent resonance - for the body. Its playing surfaces, meanwhile, are made of Sapele hardwood, for optimal projection. Furthermore, the special octagonal shape gives the LP1412 a unique sound.

Practicality

To enhance the instrument's acoustics, Latin Percussion gave this cajon a unique octagonal design. Besides influencing its sound, this unusual shape also affects the way you play it: instead of sitting on top of it, you hold the 12-inch Americana cajon in your lap. Another of the LP1412's unique properties, is that it features two different playing surfaces. These allow you to experiment with different sounds and techniques. The snare wires mounted inside the body allow for a wide variety of different sounds. All in all, this is a practical cajon for all-round percussionists.
