Sela cajons are made by German craftsmen using high-grade materials. The CaSela Professional Snare Cajon with Zebrano playing surface is a beautiful percussion instrument that is delivered in a compact DIY package - but really, assembling it is half the fun! Don't worry, it's not rocket science: all you'll need is a hammer and a screw driver. Another advantage of this DIY kit is that with it, Sela gives you the freedom to adjust the cajon to suit your personal preference.
Sela CaSela Professional Snare Cajon: excellent build quality
The excellent quality of the materials is undisputed. At its core, the CaSela Snare Cajon features an 11-ply birch body, which creates a powerful sound with excellent projection (partly thanks to the sound port on the back). The playing surface (with Zebrano finish) allows for rich snare sounds, but if you prefer a more demure, traditional cajon sound, the Sela Snare System can be detached. Finally, non-slip rubber feet keep the instrument firmly in place, and the rounded corners offer enhanced comfort, even during extended rehearsals or performances.

Thursday 25 June 2015Sela dreamed up yet another fun add-on for percussionists with their Tac Tic. This simple-looking instrument is much more versatile than you might think. The Tac Tic is basically three instruments in one: a shaker, a jingle stick and a pair of castanets. You can even combine those instrument sounds.

Now, the popular Varios entry-level model is available with a gold front plate and it even comes in a 37cm-high miniature version, specially designed for the smallest percussionists among us. The most noteworthy of the new additions is without a doubt the CaSela Vintage series.
